3D Modeling the SR-72 Darkstar from Top Gun: Maverick
Last year, i had the pleasure of viewing Top Gun: Maverick, and was completely infatuated with the experimental scramjet featured in the opening sequence. There was just something so menacing, yet so sexy and elegant, in the design language of the aircraft. And so i thought, yep, im definitely modeling that beauty. I decided to go as far as having the landing gear functional, but just short of having an internal cockpit. Hopefully my efforts have resulted in a shape that is faithful to Lockheed Martin's design in the film. But of course, i defer to your judgement in this regard.
